Statement of Faith

TEAM Ministries International solemnly declares that: We Believe . . .

THE SCRIPTURES THE BIBLE

The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired word of God, written by holy men under the influence of the Holy Spirit. It is infallible and serves as our standard guide for basic Christian doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Romans 10:7).

GOD

We affirm our belief in both the complete divinity and the full humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ. We affirm:

There is one God, infinitely wise and perfect, the creator of all things, manifested in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Philippians 2:6, John 1:1, John 1:14, John 15:26, 1 John 5:7, Deuteronomy 6:4).

  • His virgin birth and sinless life.

  • His miracles and divine authority.

  • His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross.

  • His bodily resurrection from the dead.

  • His ascension to the right hand of the Father.

  • His future personal return to this earth in power and glory.

MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION

Man (humankind) was created in the image of God but fell from grace due to disobedience. As a result, sin and death entered the world (Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:10). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to redeem and restore humanity to God through His death and the shedding of His blood (Romans 5:14; Romans 5:18-19, Romans 10:9; 1 John 3:8; Ephesians 2:8-10).

THE NEW BIRTH AND ETERNAL LIFE

The New Birth is a result of salvation, which comes through godly sorrow and is essential for eternal life (John 3:3-5, 2 Corinthians 7:10, 1 John 5:12). We believe that we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:24, Romans 4:16).

WATER BAPTISM

Water baptism is performed by immersion and is a direct command from the Lord. It is intended solely for believers who identify with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, Acts 8:36-39).

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST

This is a divine gift, as promised by Jesus Christ to all believers. (Acts 1:8, Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:38-39, Acts 2:4, Acts 19:1-7).

SANCTIFICATION

We believe in the process of sanctification through the Word of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and made possible by the continuous work of grace. Additionally, we believe that when a person accepts Jesus and receives salvation, they are simultaneously justified, sanctified, and glorified (1 Corinthians 1:30, Romans 6:1-2, Hebrews 12:14, Titus 2:11-14, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Galatians 2:16, Romans 5:1-2, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Galatians 3:11-14, Romans 5:8-9, James 2:23-26, Titus 3:5-7, Romans 8:29-30, 1 John 3:2, Philippians 3:20-21, Hebrews 2:10, 1 Corinthians 15:42-44, Romans 8:16-18).

DIVINE HEALING

Every Believer has the privilege of divine healing, accomplished by the amazing power of God through faith in Christ Jesus. (James 5:14-15, 1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 10:1, 3 John 1:2, Jeremiah 30:17, Jeremiah 33:6).

DIVINE FAVOR AND BREAKTHROUGHS

We firmly believe that God intends for believers to flourish in every area of life (Genesis 12:1-3, 3 John 2, Ephesians 1:3, Zechariah 1:17, Philippians 4:19, Psalm 84:11, Deuteronomy 28:13).

RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE RETURN OF JESUS

We believe in the resurrection of the just and the return of Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

MARRIAGE

This divine union, established by God, is a sacred bond between a man and a woman, designed for procreation, mutual support, and companionship, as well as the continuation of the human race.

Marriage is a revered institution that symbolizes the profound relationship between Christ and the church. As such, it deserves our utmost respect and honor.

(Genesis 2:22-25, Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 7:2-6).

HELL AND ETERNITY

We believe in the reality of hell and eternity (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 21:1-8, Matthew 10:28, Matthew 25:46, Romans 6:23, Matthew 5:22, Matthew 13:50, 2 Peter 2:4, Jude 1:7, Matthew 23:33).

THE CHURCH

We firmly believe that the true church of God is a vibrant community composed of individuals from every corner of the globe, representing diverse races, tribes, and social backgrounds. These individuals are not just ordinary people; they are transformed by the life-changing power of faith in Jesus Christ, renewed by His Word, and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Together, they form one united body, with Jesus as the Head (Ephesians 4:11-16 Acts 2:42-47, 1 Timothy 3:14-15, Romans 12:4-5, Colossians 1:17-20, Ephesians 2:19-22, 1 Peter 2:4-5, 1 Corinthians 14:26, Hebrews 10:24:25, Revelation 21:2-3).

KINGS AND PRIESTS

We, as believers, are a powerful nation of kings and priests (1 Peter 2:9, Revelation 1:6) with a divine mandate to reign on earth and unveil the profound mysteries of God. Our purpose is to lead with humility, integrity, and authority, illuminating the truth to the world around us (Genesis 1:26, Colossians 1:25-28, Proverbs 29:2, Matthew 20:25-27, John 13:14-15, Philippians 2:5-7, 1 Peter 5:3, 1 Corinthians 9:19).

COMMUNION

We hold that the Lord's Supper is a sacred memorial ordinance, powerfully symbolizing the profound death and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, given for the redemption and benefit of all believers (1 Corinthians 11:23-32).

EVANGELISM AND DISCIPLESHIP

We firmly believe that every believer carries a divine mandate and a profound responsibility to share the message of Jesus, no matter their individual calling. Evangelism is not just important; it is essential for achieving this purpose. The ultimate goal of evangelism goes beyond mere outreach; it is about fostering true discipleship. When a nation embraces effective discipleship, it paves the way for transformative change, ensuring good governance, maximizing productivity, and cultivating justice, peace, and prosperity for all its citizens (Matthew 28:18-19, Mark 16:19-20, Hebrews 2:3-4, Acts 14:3, Romans 15:18-19, Acts 5:12, Acts 19:11-12, Isaiah 55:11).
